I am doing my family tree, and I just discovered that I am descended from Charlemagne. How freaking cool is that!? Makes me rethink cancelling my Ancestry.com membership.
Now what I want to know is, where the heck are my riches?

does that site actually work? I've always wanted to research more of my ancestors.
Soooo, you wanna give those of us who are completely oblivious some background into why you should have riches???
PS - I was surprised to see you updated this blog...when it showed up in my reader, I was like 'who the heck is everyday musings, oh yeah, Lainey!' Haha :)
@Lindsay:
Yes, it works and it's great, but it costs $300 a year. Still, that's less than the $30 per month you pay if you pay monthly...and that doesn't sound THAT bad, does it!? lol. The thing I really like about it is that you can share your research with others, so it looks to me like someone paid to have their tree done and posted it there, and they shared it with others, so I benefited. Now someone will benefit by me updating mine. It also tells you how many people you helped every time you update a "hint" (that's what it's called if there is information from others' trees that you might be able to use).
@Brandi: Well, because Charlemagne, King of the Franks, Holy Roman Emperor, appears to have been my (36 X)-great grandfather! You'd think there'd be some riches in there somewhere, haha!
Yeah, I wanted to tell someone but nobody was home, and nobody was answering their phones (like my dad!), and I didn't know where else to put it, so I put it here. :-D
That's really cool, I've always wanted to do a full tree from my family. My mom's dad was adopted though, and we don't really know anything about his real parents, although we seem to know his real last name. Hmm.
